It’s time for pause. A deep breath. Reflection.
Summer is slowly folding into memory, and soon the rush will return — school schedules, weekends stacked with sports, dance lessons, and endless to-dos. The moments that feel slow and spacious will be rare.
Now is the moment to look inward and ask: What am I tethered to?
We are pulled in so many directions — some by duty, some by habit, some by love. Which ones will guide us toward the life we actually want? Which are worth our time, our heart, our energy?
And in the midst of the swirl… how do we hold it all together without losing ourselves?
What tethers you?
It’s a hard question, but an essential one — the kind that helps us sift through the noise, letting go of what no longer serves us or gently setting it at the bottom of the to-do list.
Sit with this question. Let it breathe. Let it find its place in your heart. The answer will reveal itself in time.
You may discover that the tether is your work — or perhaps it’s something else entirely. Maybe it’s the quiet avoidance of an issue that needs your courage. Maybe it’s an old habit, even an addiction. Whatever it is, this is your invitation to scratch beneath the surface and do the deep, necessary work without fear or regret.
As you navigate this process, you may uncover some uncomfortable truths within yourself. Remember, we are all learning and growing. Relinquish judgement. Keep what nourishes you, and release what no longer serves.
As your journey continues, carve out space for yourself every day — even if just ten minutes. Sit in meditation. Flow through a few grounding yoga poses. Write in your journal. Or simply sink into your favorite music. Find the small pockets of freedom within the tide of commitments that carry you through each day.
This is your time, your mind, your heart. You are the author of your story; write it with intention and care.
