Say it. What are you waiting for?

Today marks Winter Solstice, a pivot from darkness to light and a soft renewal of hope, as we shift our gaze to spring with the hope of rebirth and renewal. As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on our interactions with others–replaying scenes and conversations from the months, even years behind us. In this quiet review we note some conversations flowed, while others veered off course leaving us to wonder how the interaction would unfold if we spoke our truth in that moment or offered the words with more compassion.

The things we leave unspoken find a way of resurfacing in unexpected moments; the things we “should have said” often return to taunt us. Over a lifetime, too many truths we should have shared are packaged and hidden away. Why? What is it that we are afraid of communicating to others? Maybe it’s vulnerability, or fear of rejection, possibly judgement.

It’s not too late to share your thoughts with someone–it’s entirely possible they have been patiently waiting, quietly hoping for your words. Your message of love, hope, or encouragement might become the best part of their day and something to carry them through difficult days ahead.

As the light makes a slow return, may we find the willingness, tenderness, and courage to say what really matters–while there is still time.

At its core, nourishment is taking in what helps us grow and thrive. It’s more than consumption—it’s connection, replenishment, and renewal. Pause for a…

Tethering

It’s time for pause. A deep breath. Reflection. Summer is slowly folding into memory, and soon the rush will return — school schedules, weekends stacked with sports, dance lessons, and endless to-dos. The moments that feel slow and spacious will be rare. Now is the moment to look inward and ask: What am I tethered…
